I bumped into a Blog not long ago, owned by a blogger whom I don't recognise. Even though I did not know her, her latest post called "the burnt biscuits" brought a gushing amount of emotion of some kind. Said emotion is hard to describe, but the post was related to a girl's past when she was young. I shall tell you the what she wrote. (I do not own the story)
It was a about a girl, who's mother always cook a meal and sits it on the table for dinner after a long hard days work. But this girl (the author) remembers one day long ago, that her mother placed a plate of burnt biscuits in front her father. The girl noticed the burnt biscuits, but said nothing. Afterwards, she heard her mother apologising to her father for the burnt biscuits, but her father said "Honey, I love burnt biscuits". Later that night, that girl asked her father if he really did like burnt biscuits. Her father held his daughter in his arms and said "Your momma put in a long hard day at work today and she was really tired. And besides... A burnt biscuit never hurts anyone but harsh words do!"
I've decided to mention this because I don't only find it so sweet, but how caring someone can be. It's not everyday where you can find someone who thinks about one's effort before one's outcome. People judge for what is produced at the end, but no once notices the journey to that end. So I hope that by reading this post, many of you will keep in mind that it's always the effort or thought that comes first, then the outcome. That is what achievement is all about.
